We're all reading alarming news stories about recent polling. The Democratic leads we saw throughout much of the summer and fall may be fading. 😰 😰 😰
However, data from early voting rates show that our work is paying off! We need to keep doing what we are doing and increase our intensity in these two final weeks! Overall, Democratic turnout is above 2018 levels by over 5%. General turnout is increased with infrequent voters above 2018 levels - just the group we have been targeting all these months with postcards, phone calls, texts and door knocks. BUT with the GOP's dark money, and disinformation intensifying, we need to intensify our work as well!
WE ARE ASKING ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS (OTHER THAN THOSE ACTIVELY TEXTING VOTERS) TO SPEND AS MUCH OF YOUR DISCRETIONARY TIME AS POSSIBLE TIME BETWEEN NOW AND 11/8 MAKING PHONE CALLS TO VOTERS. CONSIDER TURNING OFF THE TV NEWS AND MAKING CALLS INSTEAD! THEN, WIN OR LOSE, YOU WILL KNOW YOU DID ALL YOU COULD TO SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY AND PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS.
