IndiMarin is seeking additional volunteers to join our Leadership Team. In this current challenging environment, we wish to expand our Leadership Team to bring new perspectives and fresh energy to our work. KEY AREAS OF NEED

  • We are especially in need of new leaders with expertise in the following areas:

    • Event organizing

    • Meeting facilitation

    • Digital graphic design

    • Technical systems and platforms

    • Social media

    • Computer-related administration

PARAMETERS

  • We consider someone to be a leader if they commit to an ongoing, specific responsibility. 

  • The Leadership Team members take direction from our Steering Committee.

  • There is no set time requirement to be a leader; it is based on the volunteer’s availability and role. Typically, at least 10 hours per month is needed for an ongoing role.

  • Our lives are constantly changing, and our volunteer commitments must adjust accordingly. Family commitments and gainful employment are understood to be everyone’s top priority.

EXPECTATIONS OF LEADERS

  • Our philosophy is that to be most impactful over time, we should hold ourselves to the same professional standards expected in our current or previous professions, specifically:

    • Roles should be filled according to existing expertise and skill sets.

    • Our work product is carefully crafted and reviewed before finalization.

    • As a team, we agree on timelines and strive to meet those goals.

  • Work both independently and with direction in a range of cirucmstances.

  • Focus on humor and having fun together.

  • Listen and consider all ideas.
