Dear Members,
President Biden made his most expansive comments yet on the Senate filibuster during the CNN town hall, expressing openness to Democrats modifying or even ending the procedure. “We’re going to have to move to the point where we fundamentally alter the filibuster,” he said. Later, when he was asked if he was open to ending the filibuster for voting rights, Biden responded: “And maybe more.” We’re not yet across the finish line, but with Biden behind filibuster reform, there is much reason to be hopeful.
We'd like to take this moment to thank all of you for everything you’ve done to lead us to this point. In spite of the media's profit-motivated tendency to focus on negative news out of Washington, let's keep in mind that under the Biden Administration, there have ALREADY been significant policy reforms that are improving the lives of countless Americans, with many more to come. These improvements are a direct result of the work volunteers like us did to elect Joe Biden and regain the Senate majority.
We at IndiMarin will continue to work to build a more just, caring and inclusive America. We are honored that each of you has joined us in this crucial fight for our country and its people.
